【About】The Normal College (Faculty of Education) was founded in 1995 approved by the Guangdong Provincial Government. After 23 years of development, the College is optimally positioned to be a high-level and modern comprehensive college based on teacher training, rooted in Shenzhen and serving the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
The College comprises School of Education, School of Psychology and School of Physical Education (Golf Academy), offering 8 undergraduate programs including Psychology, Education and Physical education, 3 graduate programs of Applied Psychology, Education and Physical Education, 1 Ph.D. program of Psychology and 1 postdoctoral workstation in Psychology. The College also encompasses 1 Affiliated Education Group covering childhood education, primary education and secondary education, the Elementary Education and Teachers' Development Centre, Mandarin Training and Testing Centre, Centre of Indian Culture Studies, TOFEL Testing Centre, the Bay Area Research Institute, Institute of Higher Education and Institute of Educational Sciences.
【Faculty】The Normal College boasts many eminent scholars. There are 165 faculty members, including 32 professors, 42 associate professors and 120 doctors, 1 academic degrees committee of the state council discipline appraisal group member and over 20 awardees of Shenzhen Overseas High Level Talent (Peacock Plan) Project.

【Research】 Our faculty members are vigorously engaged in research. They have undertaken 2 National Basic Research Program (973 program) projects, over 38 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, over 10 projects supported by the National Social Science Foundation of China and over 84 ministerial and provincial projects. They have won more than 15 awards for research and teaching achievements, including 4 national awards. The faculty published a total of 660 high quality research papers in the domestic and international SCI/SSCI/CSSCI/CSCD journals from 2015 to 2018.
【Global Outreach】The Normal College is stepping up its efforts in promoting internationalization. We have established partnerships with a number of overseas universities for joint training at bachelor, Master and doctoral levels, long-term and short-term academic exchanges and research collaborations, providing students with a wide range of global learning opportunities. By now, we have signed memorandums of cooperation with University of Groningen, University of Jyväskylä, Maastricht University and Queen's University Belfast for joint doctoral programs. We have 3+1/2+2 degree programs with Sangmyung University, 1+3 degree program with Queen's University Belfast and 3+1/3+1+1/2+2 degree program with University College Dublin. In addition, we have established the mechanism of mutual recognition of credits with many universities.
