Founded in 1983, the College of Economics has become an important teaching and research institute in the field of special economic zone management. Guided by the values of “cultural guidance, innovation and entrepreneurship and connotative development”, the College aspires to be a first-class school to serve the community and the nation.

The College offers excellent programs, including five undergraduate programs in Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Economics and Trade and Logistics, academic master degree programs in Applied Economics, Statistics and Accounting, professional master degree programs in Accounting, Finance, International Business and Applied Statistics, PhD programs in Theoretical Economics and post-doctoral program in Theoretical Economics.

The College faculty is composed of renowned scholars. The College has 26 professors, 38 associate professors, 48 assistant professors and lecturers, among whom there are two Prominent Teachers of Guangdong Province.

The College has excellent facilities, including one comprehensive professional laboratory, one contemporary logistics laboratory, one experimental platform of logistics network and one Guangdong Experimental Teaching Centre. Special programs in Mathematical Finance, ACCA, CFA, Investment Science, China Life Insurance and Supply Chain Finance are also available to better meet the needs of students.

The College has steadily improved its scientific research. We have established the JECR(SSCI) regional editing department and participated in the founding of Guangdong AI&Digital Economy Laboratory. We have undertaken a wide range of research programs and our faculty have published a number of papers in authoritative journals like Social Sciences in China, Economic Research, Management World, the Quarterly Journal of Economics, JASA, POM, JBF and JCF.
