In August 2026, the Shenzhen Yunsheng Accordion Orchestra staged a performance at the concert hall of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the United Kingdom. The orchestra received the Outstanding Young Artist Award at the International Youth Invitational Competition hosted by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and delivered street performances on the Royal Mile during the Edinburgh Art Festival.

Led by Shenzhen University, the orchestra was jointly founded bytheAffiliated Experimental High School of Shenzhen University and the Affiliated High School of Shenzhen University. Professor Wang Lulu, Executive Vice Dean of the College of Music and Dance, Division of Arts, serves as its artistic supervisor. The orchestra has previously won more than 20 international and domestic awards, including a championship at the World Accordion Championships, first place nationally at the China Hummingbird Music Awards, Best Performance Award and Silver Award at the Vienna World Orchestra Festival, and third prize at the Italy International Accordion Competition, alongside a past appearance at the Golden Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna.
To prepare for this competition, the team launched special intensive training half a year in advance. Before the overseas trip, Professor Wang Lulu, orchestra conductor Fu Hu, and percussionist Han Ying led a 20-day closed rehearsal.
While in the United Kingdom, the orchestra fully participated in masterclasses delivered by professors from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and refined competition repertoire under the guidance of accordionist Ryan Corbett.
During the competition performance, the orchestra played the Dance of the Yao People and the Hungarian Dance No. 5. Jury member Aaron Shorr commented that the orchestra's interpretation of the Chinese work was "filled with sincere national sentiment. " Ryan Corbett noted that the orchestra worked "seamlessly with the conductor" and hailed it as "the finest youth accordion orchestra I have seen in Scotland."
The competition closing ceremony and award presentation took place at Perth Theatre, where Aaron Shorr presented the award to Professor Wang Lulu's team.
