On September 8, Shenzhen University (SZU) celebrated the successful conclusion of its 11thClub Carnival, themed "Embarking on a New SZU Journey." This vibrant event offered students and faculty a feast for the senses, blending culture, art, technology, and creativity into an unforgettable experience.
With 80 student clubs participating, the carnival showcased a diverse array of activities, ranging from academic pursuits and cultural and artistic performances to sports and community service. Tech enthusiasts were captivated by robot dance performances, immersive VR experiences, and programming challenges, all of which provided exciting opportunities to explore the wonders of technology. Meanwhile, exhibitions of calligraphy, handmade crafts, and live music, combined with the innovative and dynamic spirit of contemporary art, brought the rich heritage of Chinese culture to life. Sports challenges, including soccer, badminton, and shuttlecock kicking, sparked students' enthusiasm for sports and strengthened their sense of teamwork. The University's Red Cross Society and other public welfare clubs also seized the opportunity to promote positive messages about environmental protection, disability assistance, and educational support services, spreading goodwill through their actions.
One of the highlights of the event was the "Letter to the Future (Graduation)" activity, in which first-year students wrote heartfelt messages expressing their hopes and dreams for what lies ahead. These letters were placed in a "Time Capsule Mailbox," with China Post scheduled to deliver them back to the students upon graduation, providing a cherished keepsake of their university journey.
