The 22nd National College Robot Competition "RoboMaster 2023 Master Competition" concluded in Shenzhen recently. The RobotPilots team of Shenzhen University won the championship of the southern division, advanced to the national quarterfinals, and won the first prize at the national level.
RoboMaster University Series (RMU) is initiated by DJI to create a competitive platform for robot enthusiasts, stimulating and cultivating college students' interest and ability in scientific and technological innovation. The competition attracts more than 400 universities around the world every year, cultivates 45,000 young engineers, and carries out various industry-university-research cooperation projects such as talent training and laboratory co-construction with hundreds of universities.
Shenzhen University RobotPilots Team was founded in 2014. Based in the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and Control Engineering, it brings together students from different colleges and majors, such as College of Electronic Science and Technology, College of Information Engineering, College of Computer Science & Software, College of Physics and Energy, College of Mathematics and Statistics, College of Mass Communication, and College of Psychology and Sociology. It is the first technical club of Shenzhen University to participate in robot competitions.
