University of Indonesia Rector leads delegation to visit Shenzhen University

On the morning of March 26, University of Indonesia Rector Heri Hermansyah, together with Hamdi Muluk, Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, visited Shenzhen University. Xu Bo, Party Secretary of Shenzhen University, and Chao Naipeng, Vice President of Shenzhen University, met with the guests at Room 201, Huiyuan Building, Yuehai Campus. The two sides held in-depth discussions on deepening inter-university cooperation, as well as promoting academic exchange and talent cultivation.

Xu Bo welcomed Heri Hermansyah and his delegation and introduced the university's development achievements. He stated that, as one of the core universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Shenzhen University not only benefits from Shenzhen's industrial and policy advantages but also from the region's strong innovation ecosystem and internationalized resources. Looking ahead, the university will actively attract international students for advanced study, and further strengthen cooperation with high-level global universities to enhance the quality and level of international exchange. He also expressed hope that both sides would explore broader cooperation in joint talent cultivation, collaborative research, and joint laboratory construction.

Heri Hermansyah introduced the development of the University of Indonesia. He stated that the University of Indonesia is the oldest institution of higher learning and a public comprehensive university in Indonesia, widely recognized as one of the country's top universities and a leading global research university. Currently, the University of Indonesia has established cooperative relationships with more than 200 universities worldwide, and has launched joint degree and dual-degree programs with dozens of institutions, while actively expanding further cooperation opportunities.

During the meeting, both sides held in-depth discussions on the implementation of joint research projects, dual-degree programs, and student exchange visits. Relevant officials from the University of Indonesia's Directorate for Internationalization of Education, Graduate School of Sustainable Development, UI GreenMetric, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Administrative Science, Faculty of Law, and Graduate Program, as well as officials from Shenzhen University's Graduate School, Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Law School, School of Government, and College of International Exchange, attended the meeting.
