On December 13, 2025, Shenzhen University and CGGE (Shenzhen) Technology Limited signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the opening ceremony of the International Artificial Intelligence and Creativity Conference. The signing ceremony was attended by academician Mao Junfa, President of Shenzhen University, and Raymond D. Neoh, Director of CGGE, and representatives from both sides signed the agreement. This collaboration marks the official launch of the "Shenzhen University and CGGE Creative Intelligence Industry Collaboration Platform," which will focus on in-depth cooperation in areas such as creative intelligence education, scientific research innovation, and industrial incubation.

CGGE is a global leader in the digital economy and computer graphics (CG) industry. Its founder, Raymond D. Neoh, is known as the "Father of China's CG Industry," and his team has promoted the industrialization of China's animation industry. The two sides reached a preliminary cooperation intention in September 2025, and after multiple rounds of consultations, clarified the cooperation framework, laying the foundation for this agreement.
Key initiatives under the agreement include: establishing "four centers" (teaching, R&D, incubation, and talent output) in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, pursuing three major goals (establishing creative intelligence micro-majors, jointly organizing international conferences, and building the Chinese headquarters of the origin CG in the university), and developing an innovative, closed-loop system integrating "education-research-industry-employment."
Looking ahead, the collaboration will prioritize deepening cooperation in curriculum development and scientific research innovation, promoting the global expansion of creative intelligence education, supporting Shenzhen University's ambition to become a benchmark institution in Asia, and providing a model for the construction of the creative intelligence industry ecosystem in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
