Shenzhen University and French partners attend the Second Sino-French Education Development Forum

December 8, 2025

The Ministry of Education (MOE) of China and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space of France jointly held the Second Sino-French Education Development Forum at Sichuan University in Chengdu, on December 5 (Beijing time).

Chao Naipeng, Vice President of Shenzhen University, attended the forum on behalf of the university. During the event, he signed a Framework Agreement on Establishing the Shenzhen University Sino-French FinTech Research Center (Qianhai) with the representative from Audencia Business School, further deepening bilateral cooperation.

In recent years, Shenzhen University's collaboration with France in the field of education has continued to expand. Marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France and building on practical initiatives for educational exchange, both parties have focused on two core objectives: promoting language and cultural exchange, and cultivating cutting-edge talent. This has led to the establishment of a broad, multi-level cooperation framework. The Shenzhen Audencia Financial Technology Institute serves as a hub for specialized talent development, while the Alliance Française de Shenzhen provides a platform for cultural and linguistic exchange, together covering the full spectrum from basic language education to the training of high-level industry professionals.

The Shenzhen University Sino-French FinTech Research Center (Qianhai), established through this agreement, will leverage the financial innovation policies of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone. By integrating the academic strengths of Shenzhen University and Audencia Business School in computer science, finance, and data science, the center aims to build an interdisciplinary platform for FinTech research, innovation incubation, and talent cultivation. It will be based in Qianhai, serve the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and operate with global influence. The center will focus on frontier areas such as digital currency, blockchain, intelligent risk management, and green FinTech. It seeks to promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research, application, and capital, thereby supporting Qianhai's development as a National FinTech Innovation Demonstration Zone.
