SZU places a strong emphasis on internationalization, collaborating with over 300 universities and institutions worldwide. The University operates several overseas campuses, including Tokyo College, Hong Kong College, and the Confucius Institute at Prince Sultan University. SZU has built strong ties with 11 renowned Japanese universities, including the University of Tokyo, Meiji University, Osaka University, Kumamoto University, and others.

The Tokyo College officially opened in April 2023, with the mission of offering high-quality, localized Chinese and professional education to young people in Japan. It serves as a cultural bridge between China and Japan. Through its innovative "Chinese + Sub-major" training model, the College integrates SZU's strengths in information technology and management, ensuring strong career support for its students.

In its two years of operation, the Tokyo College has gained increasing stability. In the spring of 2025, the College welcomed 46 new students, bringing the total enrollment to 75—a significant growth compared to the previous year.

The Tokyo College's rapid development has garnered recognition from Japan's Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology. The College is also exploring opportunities for industry-education integration. In collaboration with leading companies such as Huawei Technologies Japan, the College has established the "Huawei ICT Academy" education program. On the same day, both parties held discussions to deepen their future cooperation.
