The delegation of the University of Leeds visits Shenzhen University

The University of Leeds, a public research university located in Leeds, UK, is consistently ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. As a founding member of the Russell Group and one of the UK's red brick universities, the University of Leeds has established a long-standing partnership with Shenzhen University. This visit aims to broaden the scope of their collaboration and explore innovative and forward-thinking models for future cooperation.

The delegation, led by Professor Rob Sturman, Pro-Dean International for the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Leeds, Professor Silviu Cobeanu, Programme Director for MA Music Management at the School of Music, Julia Wang, Head of International Market Development at the International Office, and Kimi Liu, Manager of Recruitment and Partnerships at the International Office, was warmly welcomed by Shenzhen University officials, Zeng Sa, Deputy Director of the International Office, Wang Jipu, Vice Dean of the College of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, Zhong Xiaopin, Vice Dean of the College of Mechatronics and Control Engineering, and Wang Lulu, Deputy Dean of the School of Music and Dance.

The two parties engaged in detailed discussions on areas such as university development, academic resources, program offerings, talent cultivation, and the availability of both hardware and software facilities. The delegation of the University of Leeds commended Shenzhen University's rapid development and its advantageous geographic location. The discussions also explored potential collaborative models, including the "1+1+1" dual master's degree program and the "3+1" dual bachelor's and master's degree program, with both sides expressing a strong commitment to deepening their cooperation.
