Delegation from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Algeria) visits Shenzhen University

Recently, a six-member delegation from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Algeria) visited Shenzhen University (SZU). The delegation included Prof. Mouloud Koudil, President of the Ecole nationale Supérieure d'Informatique (ESI); Prof. Abdelmalik Bachir, Director of the National School of Artificial Intelligence (ENSIA); Dr. Mustapha Aouache, Director of the Telecom Division at the Centre for Development of Advanced Technologies (CDTA); Dr. Belaid Ahror, Director of Data Science & Applications Research Unit at Research Center for Scientific and Technical Information (CERIST); Mr. Abdelhakim Cheriet, Director of Digital Architecture; and Mr. Noureddine Lasla, Deputy Director of Digital Architecture.

Mao Junfa, President of SZU and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, provided a detailed introduction to the university's development history, global rankings, disciplinary strength, and laboratory infrastructure, with a focus on the achievements of the National Engineering Laboratory for Big Data System Computing Technology. He expressed hopes that this exchange would serve as a catalyst for collaboration between SZU and the visiting Algerian institutions in talent development and scientific research, particularly in information and AI technologies.

Prof. Mouloud Koudil and Prof. Abdelmalik Bachir highlighted the historical development and academic specialties of their respective institutions. They highly praised SZU's internationalization efforts and accomplishments in disciplinary construction. They expressed their desire to deepen cooperation in student and faculty exchanges, joint training programs, and collaborative research, while actively drawing on China's and SZU's advancements in science and technology.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts between President Mao Junfa and President Mouloud Koudil, along with shared aspirations for future collaboration. 

Following the talks, the delegation toured SZU's History Museum and Information Center to gain further insights into the university's development trajectory and smart campus initiatives.
