Secretary General and Asia-Pacific representative of the Fondation des Alliances Françaises visit Shenzhen University and Shenzhen Alliance Française Training Center

On October 30, Marc Cerdan, Secretary General of the Fondation des Alliances Françaises, Jean-François Hans, Asia-Pacific region representative, and Louis Baréty, Coordinator of Alliance Française Projects in China, visited Shenzhen University (SZU) and the Shenzhen Alliance Française Training Center.

In the morning, the delegation participated in the launch ceremony of the Green Pact Global Sustainable Development Series, a joint initiative by the Shenzhen Alliance Française and the Yuehai Enterprise Service Center. They also attended the Sport Planète exhibition, which focuses on environment and sports. Marc Cerdan delivered a speech emphasizing that sports and cultural exchanges could deepen grassroots interactions and enhance the friendship between the people of China and France.

In the afternoon, Li Qingquan, Secretary of the Party Committee of SZU and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, along with the delegation, visited the 2024 China-France Environment Month Children's Painting Competition Exhibition at the Shenzhen Alliance Française. Li Qingquan welcomed the delegation and acknowledged the significant role of the Shenzhen Alliance Française in providing high-quality French language training and promoting Sino-French cultural exchanges. He expressed hope for continued close cooperation between SZU and the Alliance Française. Marc Cerdan thanked SZU for its support to the Alliance Française.

A symposium was held in the hall of the Shenzhen Alliance Française, attended by Han Shuixian, Liu Haishan, the Chinese Dean of Shenzhen Audencia Business School, Chen Beibei, Deputy Director of the Planning and Finance Department of SZU, Zeng Sa, Deputy Director of the International Office of SZU, Wang Lei, Associate Professor at the College of International Studies of SZU, Marc Cerdan, Jean-François Hans, Louis Baréty, Olivier DESSAJAN, General Manager of Colisée China Merchants, and Stéphane JOLY, the French Principal of Shenzhen Alliance Française. Zeng Sa chaired the symposium.

where participants engaged in constructive discussions on cooperation between SZU and the Alliance Française, Sino-French language collaboration, and higher education exchanges and mutual learning between the two countries.
