The China International College Students' Innovation Competition 2024 concluded its national finals at Shanghai Jiao Tong University on October 15. The Shenzhen University (SZU) team delivered an outstanding performance, winning 4 gold medals and 5 silver medals. The team ranked 15th nationally in gold medal count, placing second in Guangdong Province and first in Shenzhen. Particularly impressive were the 3 gold medals won in the main higher education category, securing the top spot in the province. Additionally, the team made history by winning SZU's first-ever gold medal in the Youth Red Dream Building Journey category! This year, SZU achieved a record high of 4 gold medals and 19 national-level awards. Furthermore, two projects remain in the running in the revival round, aiming to upgrade from bronze to silver medals, with the final results yet to be announced.、

This year's competition saw unprecedented participation, with around 20,836,000 students from 5,406 colleges and universities across 153 countries and regions, submitting a total of 5.14 million projects.

Since the launch of the campus selection process, SZU's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Center organized a series of competition briefings at the Yuehai and Lihu campuses to help refine project submissions. More than 200 training sessions were held, providing over 500 project consultations.
SZU remains committed to using this competition as a platform to integrate innovation education throughout the process of nurturing top talent, providing young students with valuable opportunities to develop and showcase their abilities.
