On the afternoon of April 11, a delegation led by Galina Kulikova, First Deputy Chairperson of the Russia-China Friendship Association, visited Shenzhen University (SZU) for an exchange of ideas. Accompanied by Rong Yi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Zhou Jianxiong, Secretary-General of the Shenzhen People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the delegation was warmly welcomed by Zhang Xueji, Vice President of SZU. The meeting took place in Room 201, Huiyuan Building, where discussions focused on university development, scientific research, and international collaboration.
Vice President Zhang Xueji extended a warm welcome to Galina Kulikova and her delegation on behalf of SZU. Galina Kulikova expressed her heartfelt appreciation and congratulations for the rapid development of SZU. She remarked that her visit to Shenzhen and SZU had deepened her understanding of the significant national strategy of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in China. Galina Kulikova looks forward to facilitating greater exchanges and collaborations between Russian universities and SZU, as well as fostering extensive cooperation between enterprises in Shenzhen and Russia across various sectors. The delegation is committed to establishing an outstanding platform for Sino-Russian youth exchanges, providing comprehensive information to Russian youth about collaboration between the two nations. Timirkhan Alishev, Vice President of Kazan Federal University (Volga Region), highlighted that since the signing of a cooperation agreement in 2016, SZU and Kazan Federal University have exchanged graduate students multiple times and engaged in research collaborations in diverse fields, such as quantum studies and computer science. He expressed hope that this friendly visit would further strengthen the ties between the two universities.
