The opening ceremony of Shenzhen University (SZU) IELTS test center was held Tuesday at the university’s Yuehai campus, the third computer-based test site in Shenzhen announced by British Council, the host of the examination.

“This year marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of SZU which is now striving towards the goals of becoming a world-class comprehensive university and actively promoting the internationalization in such fields as personnel training, scientific research, faculty building and cultural exchange,” said Zhang Xueji, Vice President of SZU.
Prof. Zhang also mentioned in his speech that he was pleased to work with National Education Examinations Authority (NEEA) and British Council to jointly establish an IELTS test center within SZU, which would create favorable conditions for SZers to learn English, for cultivating international talents in the Greater Bay Area, and for SZU teachers and students to study abroad.
Prof. Zhang unveiled the test site with Chen Zhijun, Director of Education Department of the British Council in South China.



The first computer-based IELTS exam at SZU is scheduled on May 31, with channel now open for registration. Examinees can log in the NEEA official Chinese-version website to check the test arrangement.
