On March 11, "2023 Female College Student Job Fair" was held at the Lihu Campus of Shenzhen University. At the job fair, a total of more than 3,000 jobs openings were provided by 80 renowned companies such as BYD and Shanghai Trading Group. 1,500 students from six universities in Shenzhen participated. PCompanies received a total of 3,450 resumes, reaching a preliminary employment intention rate of 25%.
This job fair focuses on women's employment and helps female graduates to find good jobs. Liu Lei, chairman of the Shenzhen Women's Federation, said in an interview that this is the first time for Shenzhen Women's Federation to hold a job fair for female college students. It is hoped that enterprises will give outstanding female applicants more opportunities, and it calls for companies to break women's limitations in recruiting and open suitable positions to women. Liu Lei said that she looks forward to further cooperation with Shenzhen University in the future to hold more female job-hunting activities.
Shi, a postgraduate student of the School of Media and Communication, said she was pleasantly surprised by the special recruitment for female college students held by SZU and the Women's Federation. Participating in this job fair was a novel experience for her, and the jobs offered at the job fair were suitable for women. "I like Shenzhen for its vitality. I want to stay here and contribute to its development."
According to the staff, the number of job openings has increased compared with previous years.
Many students have made sufficient preparations for their dream jobs. Miss Zhang from the College of Computer Science and Software Engineering Class 2019 said that she had further enriched her resume, participated in lectures held by Shenzhen University and eventually applied for many ideal positions at the job fair today.
This campus job fair also sent talents for enterprises. The BYD Co., Ltd. recruiters said that Shenzhen University graduates have a broad international vision and a good sense of innovation. They are highly capable and overachieve the needs of enterprises. A recruiter from Siemens (Shenzhen) Magnetic Resonance Co., Ltd. said that Shenzhen University students have the advantages of being down-to-earth and having a clear career orientation. They thank Shenzhen University for cultivating outstanding graduates for local companies.
