Shenzhen, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) – Shenzhen University launched its alumni plaza on Friday. Located in the University, the plaza was constructed with alumni donations and is a complex comprised of exhibition hall, multi-purpose rooms, coffee shop, and meeting rooms.

Since its founding in 1983, Shenzhen University has trained more than 300,000 talents, 95% of whom have taken root in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and over 80% of whom have been dedicated to contributing to Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, including the alumni team of Tencent founders (Ma Huateng, Zhang Zhidong, Chen Yidan, Xu Chenye) and other innovative and entrepreneurial talents and backbones of various industries.
Li Qingquan, President of Shenzhen University said that the University had developed rapidly in recent years with key performance indicators among the best among the local universities in Mainland China. The development of Shenzhen University over the past 37 years has received strong support from its alumni. Li hoped that the plaza would further strengthen the emotional connections between the University and its alumni.
