On December 28, the opening ceremony of the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University was held in Bao'an Central Hospital. The ceremony was attended by Wang Hui, vice president of Shenzhen University, Zhou Xueliang, deputy head of Bao'an District Government, Yang Beibing, director of Health and Family Planning Bureau of Bao'an District, Chai Jinlong, secretary of the Party Committee ofHealth Science Center, and Zhou Hua, secretary of the Party Committee of Bao'an Central Hospital. The ceremony was presided over by Chen Zhihong, deputy secretary of the Bao'an District Central Hospital and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee.
At the ceremony, Zhou Hua said that with the establishment of the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University in Bao’an Central Hospital, the hospital will use the influential faculty, high-quality students and high-end teaching and research platform of Shenzhen University to build a clinical teaching and research base. While improving the hard power of the hospital, it will further enhance the soft power of the hospital, promote the development of clinical, scientific research and teaching level, with the aim to establish the brand of the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University, and better protect the health of Bao'an people.
Wang Hui gave a brief introduction to the development of Shenzhen University. He mentioned that this year is the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Shenzhen University. In the past 35 years, the school has followed the pace of the development of the SEZ (Special Economic Zone), and is determined to reform and develop rapidly. It has formed the characteristics of running the "SZE University, Window University, and Experimental University". Based on the economic and social development of theGuangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, it turned to internationalization and has cultivated a large number of high-quality innovative talents to lead the progress and development of society, forming a complete talent training system from bachelor, master to doctoral and a multi-level scientific research and social service system. The Health Science Center of Shenzhen University is the first faculty of the school to explore the reform of the system of major departments. The medical discipline is the subject of key support and development of Shenzhen University. After ten years’ development, Health Science Center of Shenzhen University has made outstanding achievements in discipline construction, high-end talent introduction, scientific research, international education and the construction of affiliated hospitals.
He said that the opening of the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University in Bao'an Central Hospital has added strength to the development of clinical and medical undertakings in SZU. He hopes that in the future, they can cooperate in medicine, education and research, and work together to complement each other. He said that this is a great event for the Central Hospital, and it is also a good thing for Bao'an to speed up the construction of high-quality medical resources, and vigorously promote the joint development of both sides, so as truly achieve the mutual promotion of teaching and learning. At the same time, the establishment of the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University today marks a milestone. He further expressed the hope that the Central Hospital will take this opportunity to continuously expand the depth and breadth of cooperation with Shenzhen University, and work hard to achieve real cooperation with the help of Shenzhen University. After the ceremony, the guests visited the Fifth Affiliated Hospital Lifestyle Medicine (metabolic disease) clinic and Bao'an District Health Management (Physical Examination) Center.
