On May 22nd, the Chinese University Alumni Association (CUAA) released the “CUAA World University Ranking 2019 Analysis Report”, which includes the ranking of the CUAA World Top Ten Universities 2019 of China (Chinese Universities). Among the 891 Chinese universities on the list, Shenzhen University holds the 53^rdposition, ranking 3^rdin Guangdong universities, after Sun Yat-sen University and South China University of Technology in first and second place respectively. It occupied the 24^thplace among Chinese comprehensive universities.

The latest reports and rankings show that Tsinghua University, Peking University and Zhejiang University are the top three universities in China. There are seven universities in Guangdong that are among the top 100 Chinese universities, of which Sun Yat-Sen University and South China University of Technology ranked 8^thand 23^rdrespectively. Shenzhen University ranked No.3 among Guangdong universities, No.53 of all universities in China, and No.579 in the world. It is worth mentioning that the CUAA also released the ranking of the CUAA World Top Ten Universities 2019 (Chinese Comprehensive Universities). Shenzhen University has an outstanding performance and takes the 24^thposition among China's comprehensive universities.

The "CUAA World University Rankings 2019" is based on the 2018-2019 official ranking lists published by Quacquarelli Symonds, UK Times Higher Education, US News, US Scimago Institutions Rankings, Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), Leiden CWTS, Saudi Arabia CWUR, China NTU, China SJTU and China WHU. Professor Cai Yanhou of Central South University, founder of the China Comprehensive University Rankings, and the chief expert of the research team of CUAA, pointed out that these evaluation agencies conduct comprehensive rankings assessments and judge higher education institutions in the world across all their core missions of teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. To a large extent, it reflects the quality and the strength of running a school, the degree of internationalization and the development of colleges and universities around the world. It has become an important reference guide for the development of colleges and universities around the world and the selection of candidates for studying abroad. The China University Rankings compiled by CUAA is one of the most influential, authoritative and credible university rankings in China.

In recent years, SZU has continually received good news when it comes to its position in the rankings of major universities. It is listed on the four world university rankings that are widely recognized as the most authoritative, including the Times Higher Education World University Ranking, U.S. News & World Report - Best Global Universities Rankings, QS World University Rankings and Shanghai Ranking’s Academic Ranking of World Universities. In February of this year, in the ranking of Asia-Pacific universities published by Times Higher Education, Shenzhen University reached No. 29 among mainland universities and No. 4 among universities in Guangdong Province. In the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2019 released in May, Shenzhen University made it onto this list for the first time, coming in at No. 28. In the US News World University Rankings 2019, Shenzhen University was chosen as one of the top 50 mainland universities for the first time, ranking 46^th. In the QS World University Rankings 2019, Shenzhen University holds the 63^rdplace among the Chinese mainland universities. In the Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities released in August, 2018, Shenzhen University ranked No.53 among domestic universities and No.3 in Guangdong Province. Therefore, Shenzhen University is recognized as “the fastest-growing university in the Chinese mainland.”
