On June 19th, the QS Global Education Group officially released the2020 world university rankings. Shenzhen University wasincludedfor the first time, ranking 701-750th in the world, 32nd in China mainland, andthirdin Guangdong. Shenzhen University is nowincluded in thefourmostwidely recognized world university rankings:the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, the US News World University Rankings, the QS World University Rankings, and the Soft Science World University Academic Rankings.

This year's QS World University Rankings evaluated more than 1,000 universities around the world.The rankings include42 universitiesfromChina mainland, among which Tsinghua University, Peking University and Fudan Universityarethe top three in China. Thereare three universitiesfromGuangdong province:Sun Yat-sen University(1st in Guangdong),South China University of Technology(2nd in Guangdong), andShenzhen University(3rd in Guangdong). Togetherwith Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Technology, Central South University,andHunan University, SZUranked 32nd in the mainland.The Universitywasranked 55th in China mainland and240th in Asia,according to the2019 QS Asian University Rankings, released in October 2018.
The QS World University Ranking is one of the mostwidely recognized university ranking in the world. In addition to being included in theQS World University Rankings, SZU ranked 46th inChina mainlandandthird in Guangdong inthe USNews2019 World University Rankings. In theSoft Science2018World University Academic Rankings, SZU ranks 55th inChina mainlandandthird in Guangdong. IntheTimes Higher Education2019World University Rankings, SZU ranks 27th inChina mainland.Through continuousefforts to become ahigh-level university,ShenzhenUniversity hasbeen recognized asone of the fastest-growing universities inChina mainland.
